Other versions of iOS are similar, however there might be minor differences with UIs.<\/p>\n<div id=\"section_1\">\n<h3>1. Initial configurations (only once at the first time)<\/h3>\n<p>From the iOS main screen, start the &#8220;Settings&#8221; application.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"01.jpg\" href=\"https:\/\/www.softether.org\/@api\/deki\/files\/347\/=01.jpg\" rel=\"internal\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"01.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.softether.org\/@api\/deki\/files\/347\/=01.jpg?size=webview\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Open &#8220;VPN&#8221; in &#8220;General&#8221; , and tap &#8220;Add VPN Configuration&#8230;&#8221; .<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"02.jpg\" href=\"https:\/\/www.softether.org\/@api\/deki\/files\/348\/=02.jpg\" rel=\"internal\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"02.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.softether.org\/@api\/deki\/files\/348\/=02.jpg?size=webview\" \/><\/a>\u00a0<a title=\"03.jpg\" href=\"https:\/\/www.softether.org\/@api\/deki\/files\/349\/=03.jpg\" rel=\"internal\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"03.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.softether.org\/@api\/deki\/files\/349\/=03.jpg?size=webview\" \/><\/a>\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"04.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.softether.org\/@api\/deki\/files\/350\/=04.jpg?size=webview\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A new L2TP VPN connection setting will be created, and the configuration screen will appear.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"05.jpg\" href=\"https:\/\/www.softether.org\/@api\/deki\/files\/351\/=05.jpg\" rel=\"internal\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"05.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.softether.org\/@api\/deki\/files\/351\/=05.jpg?size=webview\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On this screen, you have to specify either hostname or IP address of the destination VPN Server. You also have to enter the user-name, password and secret (pre-shared key) on the iOS screen.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"section_2\">\n<h3>2. Connect a VPN<\/h3>\n<p>You can start a VPN connection by using a created VPN connection setting at any time.<\/p>\n<p>Tap the &#8220;OFF&#8221; button to initiate a VPN connection.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"06.jpg\" href=\"https:\/\/www.softether.org\/@api\/deki\/files\/352\/=06.jpg\" rel=\"internal\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"06.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.softether.org\/@api\/deki\/files\/352\/=06.jpg?size=webview\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>While VPN is established, you can see the status and connect time on the status screen. Your private IP address in VPN is also displayed. The &#8220;Connect to&#8221; IP address reports &#8220;1.0.0.1&#8221; , but it is not an unusual.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"07.jpg\" href=\"https:\/\/www.softether.org\/@api\/deki\/files\/353\/=07.jpg\" rel=\"internal\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"07.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.softether.org\/@api\/deki\/files\/353\/=07.jpg?size=webview\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"section_3\">\n<h3>3. Enjoy VPN communication<\/h3>\n<p>While VPN is established, all communications will be relayed via the VPN Server.
